Senior Credit Solutions Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking

About the role

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Credit Solutions Manager to join its Corporate and Commercial Banking Unit in Trinidad. The role focuses on driving profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio through complex deal structuring, risk analysis, pricing and negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, structure and present credit and financial‑solution proposals for corporate and commercial clients.
• Provide sound recommendations on credit adjudication and pricing, ensuring returns align with risk and profitability goals.
• Liaise with Business Service Centre, Client Portfolio Management and other internal teams to ensure seamless documentation, security registration and compliance monitoring.
• Draft and review authorisations, supervise implementation, and address any issues with loan documentation or security.
• Monitor the quality of the assigned credit portfolio, reporting credit weaknesses to senior management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate/commercial credit analysis, deal structuring and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, internal policies and credit risk management.
• Ability to communicate complex credit rationales clearly to senior relationship managers and clients.
• Proven track record of contributing to profitable credit portfolio growth.
