Senior Digital Architect Leader – Global AVS Integration

About the role

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for digital health and innovative technology? Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking a Senior Leader for Global AVS (Alcon Vision Suite) Digital Integrations. In this critical role you will shape and advance the AVS ecosystem connectivity and integrations across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Set regional vision, priorities, goals and operating rhythm for Digital Architects, Project Managers and technical specialists while coaching and retaining a high‑performing team.
• Own the regional AVS integration process for AVS products, legacy and Unity connected medical devices, and related SaaS/SaMD offerings, driving customer connectivity and interoperability (TCP/IP, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, EHR/EMR, PACS, firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers).
• Oversee project plans, technical surveys, readiness documentation, SOPs, implementation playbooks and SOW support, acting as regional escalation leader for complex technical or integration issues.
• Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs for installation timing, integration quality and support performance, identify gaps, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and staffing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Project Management or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years leading technical, architecture or digital integration teams; 10+ years in IT platforms, healthcare technology or systems integration preferred.
• 5+ years delivering integration solutions for healthcare customers in complex environments.
• Proven project‑management discipline (plans, risks, issues, change management, documentation) and strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English, willingness to support occasional after‑hours needs and travel up to 25‑30%.
