Senior Financial Business Controller – Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Business Controller to lead the financial reporting and analysis for a leading real‑estate company operating across Spain. The role will ensure compliance with IFRS, drive performance insights, and support the implementation of new finance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure timely month‑end closing and perform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Maintain IFRS/IAS compliance, manage the bridge between Local GAAP and IFRS, and support implementation of IFRS 15, 16, 9.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting (Budget, 3+9, re‑forecasts) and monitor key KPIs such as Revenue, EBITDA and Net Debt.
• Control personnel costs, reconcile HR and finance data, and support headcount planning.
• Assist with ERP and reporting tool implementation, improve data quality, and standardise financial processes.
• Collaborate with Local CFO, Accounting, HR and Group Finance to meet group deadlines.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or controlling roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS standards.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
