Senior Financial & Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial & Tax Accountant to lead statutory reporting and tax compliance for our Spanish entities. The role will serve as the primary liaison with auditors and tax advisors, ensuring high‑quality financial statements and timely filings while supporting treasury and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the full statutory reporting process.
• Coordinate and act as the main contact for external auditors.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and withholding taxes.
• Manage Effective Tax Rate (ETR) calculations and US tax reporting requirements.
• Review and monitor intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation.
• Support month‑end closing and balance‑sheet reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with shared service center teams to maintain high‑quality accounting processes.
• Act as key contact for treasury operations and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal and external audits.
• Participate in finance projects, system improvements and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in accounting, finance or advisory with tax exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Local GAAP and US GAAP.
• Experience with Spanish tax regulations and tax compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Oracle or SAP is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and cross‑functional communication.
