Senior Implementation Engineer – Spain

About the role

Provide technical support to merchants during the implementation of Checkout.com’s payment processing technology, helping them configure, test, and launch integrations that power billions of transactions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Answer merchants’ integration questions covering configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go‑live, and post‑live support.
• Manage integration incidents: investigate, troubleshoot, escalate, resolve, report and track time.
• Collaborate with Merchant Configuration, Sales, Account Managers, and Merchant Care to resolve issues during trials, integrations, or post‑implementation support.
• Interact with Product teams to suggest improvements and pinpoint enhancement ideas.
• Advise managers on issues impacting customer satisfaction and recommend actions.
• Maintain and update existing libraries/plugins used in integrations while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Required profile

• Technical support experience in a Tech/FinTech environment; payments experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of APIs, REST, webhooks and log analysis.
• Proficient coding skills in at least one language (Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Go, C#).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
