Senior IT Consultant – Talent Acquisition Platforms (SAP SuccessFactors)

About the role

Recruiting at BASF is becoming simpler, faster and more manager‑driven, supported by automation and AI. As a Senior IT Consultant you will act as a consultant and project manager for the Talent Acquisition platform, driving the transition to SAP SmartRecruiters and shaping the future platform landscape. You will work at the intersection of HR‑IT, the recruiting organisation and external implementation partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define target processes, evaluate solution designs and support migration from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting to SAP SmartRecruiters.
• Introduce AI‑supported recruiting capabilities while ensuring business value, regulatory compliance and responsible AI governance.
• Translate business requirements into solution designs, assess impacts on processes, data, integrations and reporting, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Lead project workstreams, oversee design and implementation activities, and continuously optimise recruiting processes and digital Talent Acquisition solutions.
• Steer external implementation partners and service providers on scope, quality and delivery.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting (RCM) and Career Site Builder (CSB) in a global enterprise.
• Proven experience leading SAP SmartRecruiters implementation or migration projects.
• Business‑fluent English and a degree in IT, Business Informatics, Human Resources or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience steering external implementation partners in complex, international project environments.

• SAP SmartRecruiters platform.
• AI‑supported recruiting tools and integrations.
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Onboarding (ONB2.0).
• SAP SuccessFactors certification in Recruiting or related modules.
