Senior People Business Partner (Relocation to Madrid)
ddn · Madrid
Job description
About the role
DDN is looking for a Senior People Business Partner to build and deliver its People agenda across its growing EMEA organization. Based in the Madrid office, the role partners with regional leadership and works cross-functionally with Global HRBPs to translate global talent and organizational priorities across Europe and the Middle East. It suits a strategic operator who identifies as a builder, moving between partnership and hands-on execution as the People operating model takes shape.
Key responsibilities
- Partner across EMEA, supporting leaders and teams in G&A, Sales and Engineering, and translating global talent and organizational strategies into the EMEA context.
- Navigate multi-country realities across European employment environments, cultures and ways of working, advising on benefits, contracts and regional nuances.
- Own performance and employee relations across the region, coaching managers through performance issues, investigations and complex situations, and partnering with Legal and local counsel where needed.
- Help build DDN's People playbook and improve global practices such as performance management, onboarding, manager enablement, talent reviews and engagement.
- Support the talent agenda: talent reviews, succession, performance management, engagement, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
- Help set up processes and infrastructure for a growing EMEA organization, including onboarding, employee lifecycle practices and new locations.
- Turn global People priorities into execution by building plans, identifying dependencies and coordinating stakeholders.
- Work closely with People Operations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, IT and regional leaders.
Required profile
- Significant HRBP experience in a genuinely multi-country European/Middle East environment.
- Broad knowledge of European and Middle East employment practices and experience handling complex employee matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting multiple functions, ideally Sales, G&A and technical organizations, in a matrixed global company.
- A builder mentality in a 0-to-1 or 1-to-2 organization, with strong execution skills and independent judgment.
- Comfortable being hands-on and rolling up sleeves while building.
Required skills
- Performance management, employee relations, talent management and organizational effectiveness.
- Change management and cross-functional collaboration.
