Senior Planner – Data Centre Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join one of Europe’s largest contractors on a high‑profile data centre construction project in Zaragoza, Spain. You will develop and maintain resource‑loaded schedules across pre‑construction, construction, and commissioning phases using Primavera P6.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and progress databases.
• Produce milestone projections, delay/float analysis, and Earned Value Management reports.
• Monitor schedule performance, audit on‑site progress, and provide data for payment applications.
• Lead planning meetings, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and support weekly work‑face planning.
• Prepare tender schedules, histograms, and contract review reports.
• Assist in claim preparation and provide data for contractual disputes.
• Cover Planning Manager or Project Planner duties as needed and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of planning experience on large‑scale construction projects.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, and Excel.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Ability to produce and monitor programmes from drawings, models, or statements of work with minimal supervision.
