Senior Project Manager – Avionics/Electronic Systems

About the role

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi‑national development projects for sophisticated electronic systems in the aeronautics and defence sector. You will act as the primary interface between customers, internal engineering teams and external suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of avionics and electronic systems projects (hardware, firmware, software) during the development phase.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost and risk while aligning with customer expectations and internal governance.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across engineering, industrial manufacturing, supply chain and external partners.
• Oversee supplier management, production follow‑up and ensure compliance with product lifecycle milestones (PDR, CRD, TRR, QR).
• Implement strong project governance, reporting KPIs, risks, issues and mitigation plans to senior management.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience on complex technical projects.
• Proven background in aeronautics, defence or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated success managing international, cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English (mandatory); French is a strong plus.
