Senior Project Manager - Data Centre Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its team in Granada, specialising in data centre construction. The role covers the full range of project controls, interface management, risk and reporting for the client's essential services and works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage governance, communication and management control systems to ensure assured delivery of the client's services and works.
• Review the organisations of the parties involved and recommend alignment measures.
• Manage interfaces between contractors and monitor overall team performance, initiating safety or performance improvements when needed.
• Audit compliance with management system requirements and report as required.
• Take an active part in project risk management, identifying risks and driving mitigation activities.
• Run weekly technical and progress meetings, and lead daily site progress reviews covering HSE, logistics and progress against the programme.
• Manage client stage-gateway reviews, conditions precedent, design deliverables, fast-track procurement and permitting.
• Produce formal progress reports against baseline and milestones, and present to the Employer's representative.
• Manage the relevant contracts and the timely issuance of invoices and receipts.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or a construction-related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to collaborate across internal and external teams.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Availability for on-site work five days per week.

Required skills

• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
• Commercial awareness, including financial management for project tracking and forecasting.
• Solid understanding of contract documents, specifications and project plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and construction project management software.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimation and financial processes such as payment applications and change orders.
