Senior Project Manager – HVDC Projects in Spain

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑voltage direct current (HVDC) projects in Spain. You will be responsible for delivering complex EPC projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while acting as the primary liaison with customers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team and define the execution approach for HVDC projects.
• Oversee hand‑over, planning, monitoring, and control of internal and external resources.
• Manage project financials, invoicing, cost control, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; pursue opportunities for improvement.
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close‑out, and customer acknowledgment.
• Procure services, materials, and equipment; support negotiations, claims, and change orders.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the escalation point for issues.
• Ensure local HVDC activities are organized, staffed, and compliant with regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large EPC projects in the energy or industrial sector.
• Expertise in complex contractual arrangements with clients and partners.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities across multiple teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Financial acumen, commercial awareness, and familiarity with risk, schedule, and change management.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with collaborative leadership style.
