Senior Project Manager - Power Systems

About the role

Ramboll is looking for a Senior Project Manager for its Energy division in Barcelona. You will take part in complex national and international projects focused on critical infrastructure and high-voltage (HV) projects, from early concept and interface definition with transmission system operators (TSOs) through specification, detailed design, procurement, implementation and commissioning. Projects are delivered with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage time, quality and financial aspects of projects to meet deadlines and success criteria on critical infrastructure, HV cables, HV substations, offshore wind or data centre projects.
• Act as technical engineer, guiding and reviewing designs, electrical system studies and calculations.
• Ensure Ramboll QA/QC procedures are followed and implement relevant codes and standards for power systems.
• Host and lead design meetings and follow up the work of all disciplines (architectural, structural, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, environmental).
• Build client relationships and communicate technical knowledge clearly, keeping projects aligned with client objectives.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree (B.Eng., BS or MS).
• Proven experience with critical infrastructure, HV cables, HV substations, offshore wind or data centre projects.
• Significant project management experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to communicate with employees and clients and resolve conflicts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of project development stages: siting, feasibility, conceptual design, FEED, procurement and EPC delivery.
• Ability to review electrical system studies and calculations.
