Senior Project Manager - Retail Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is expanding its team in Spain and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver retail construction projects. The role suits a quality-driven professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. It involves helping set the overall success criteria for each project and working with the cross-functional project team.

Key responsibilities

• Help establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Collaborate with the overall cross-functional project team.
• Check that service contracts for commissions under your control are in place with all clients and sub-consultants in line with group policy.
• Contribute to project planning, including advising on the detailed project plan.
• Advise on the procurement of design and construction resources.
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including KPIs, to improve project performance.
• Set up and manage the change control process.
• Monitor and advise on project finances and budgets.
• Facilitate the flow of project information between team and client through regular meetings and written communication, and ensure formal progress and other reports are produced.
• Manage and monitor the design team and the contractor within the commission scope, and develop the contractor interface.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or another relevant discipline.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Preferred: architecture background, experience in retail projects and experience in the Spanish market.
