Senior Quantitative Researcher – QIS

About the role

RavenPack is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead AI‑driven investment use cases across its product suite. Based in Marbella, Spain, you will combine deep quantitative finance expertise with cutting‑edge machine learning and natural language processing to create alpha‑generating datasets and intelligent workflow solutions for top‑tier financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ML/NLP‑powered tools that deliver measurable alpha and improve financial workflows.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients during proofs‑of‑concept and pilot projects, iterating solutions based on real‑world feedback.
• Apply large language models (LLMs), large retrieval models (LRMs), fine‑tuning, and multi‑agent architectures to solve complex investment challenges.
• Lead internal R&D initiatives, staying ahead of AI/ML trends and aligning research with business objectives.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers and executives to deliver scalable, production‑ready solutions.
• Represent RavenPack at conferences, developer communities and client events, translating technical concepts into clear narratives.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, Quantitative Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing quantitative investment strategies on the buy‑side or sell‑side, with a proven record of ML/NLP‑driven projects.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, LRMs and coding‑assistant technologies.
• Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Required skills

• Python programming (including data‑science libraries).
• SQL or other database query languages.
• Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques.
• Time‑series modeling and workflow orchestration.
• Design and implementation of multi‑agent LLM architectures.
