Senior Test Automation AI Engineer

About the role

CGM Clinical, a leading provider of clinical software solutions with the largest number of hospital information system installations in Spain, is looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer focused on automation and AI. The role involves designing and maintaining test automation frameworks in Python, implementing tests across all levels, and validating AI-based solutions such as agentic systems and LLM applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Python.
• Implement unit, integration, end-to-end, API and performance tests.
• Define the product quality strategy together with the development team.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Take part in technical reviews and collaborate with developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify quality risks and propose continuous improvements in processes and tools.
• Perform exploratory testing when needed.
• Validate AI-based solutions, especially agentic systems and LLM-based applications.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
• 5+ years of experience in QA/QE with a strong focus on automation.
• Experience developing automation frameworks in Python, defining testing strategies and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• High-level English, with daily work in English.

Required skills

• Pytest, UI automation with Playwright and REST API testing.
• OpenAPI and tools such as Postman.
• Unit, integration, end-to-end, performance and exploratory testing.
• Git, GitLab and Docker.
• AI tools in daily work (e.g. GitHub Copilot, MCP servers).
• Highly valued: TypeScript, Schemathesis, LangGraph/LangFuse, evaluation of agentic systems and performance testing tools.
