Senior Vetting Inspector - Maritime Terminals

About the role

Repsol is looking for a Senior Vetting Inspector for its maritime terminals, based at the R.Fuels Refinery Cartagena-Murcia. The role involves inspecting vessels arriving at the terminal and ensuring they meet Repsol's vetting process and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the maritime terminal vessel schedule to identify vessels for inspection following established procedures.
• Carry out inspections of vessels according to the Repsol Vetting Process, either at the terminal or at ports instructed by the Repsol Vetting Coordination Team.
• Maintain accreditation as an OCIMF-SIRE Inspector Category 1.
• Advise the Maritime Terminal manager on technical vessel issues and ensure compliance with vessel operation assessment requirements.
• Monitor vessel incidents on site and provide first-hand information to the Vetting Coordination team and the terminal manager.
• Provide technical maritime training to terminal personnel and act as a reference for vessel safety and operations.
• Take part in Repsol Vetting Department projects and cross-functional projects within the trading division or other areas of Repsol.

Required profile

• Master's license from a recognized flag state for vessels of 3,000 gross tonnage or more, or a Chief Engineer Officer's license for vessels powered by main propulsion of 3,000 kW or more.
• At least 60 months of actual sea service aboard tankers as a certificated officer.
• At least 24 months of actual sea service as Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer or 1st/2nd Engineer.
• Sea service as an officer on at least two different types of tankers (oil, chemical, gas).
• Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, IGC, IBC and industry recommendations such as SIGTTO, OCIMF, SIRE and TMSA.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
