Shipping Operator – Vessel Charter Management

About the role

Moeve Trading is seeking a Shipping Operator to manage vessel charters, support the sale of off‑take products and proprietary trading, and ensure strict compliance with charter policies and maritime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee execution of Time Charter and Spot vessel charters for Moeve supply and trading activities.
• Apply charter terms (Time Charter, Shellvoy, Asbatankvoy, etc.) and product sales contracts to cargo transportation and documentation.
• Interpret and apply national and international regulations governing maritime operations.
• Nominate ship agents at ports in line with charter policy.
• Coordinate with brokers, shipowners and cargo inspectors to verify contractual implementation.
• Communicate ship ETAs, discharge instructions and cargo specifics to all stakeholders.
• Dispatch travel instructions to shipowners/captains ensuring policy compliance.
• Monitor fleet performance (speed, fuel consumption, idle time) and calculate settlements with shipowners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Nautical Studies or Naval Engineering.
• Experience in port agencies, merchant marine, maritime brokerage or a similar maritime environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of charter contract management and maritime technical operations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
