Site Quality Officer

About the role

Zespri is seeking a Senior Quality Officer to oversee fruit quality reporting across its European hubs. Based in Tarragona, the role ensures that third‑party logistics providers meet Zespri’s strict quality standards through systematic auditing, reporting, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vessel and container discharge audits in Zeebrugge, preparing detailed quality reports.
• Monitor 3PL performance, evaluating compliance with quality processes via regular audits.
• Prepare and oversee Supplier Accountability Audits, ensuring readiness for upcoming assessments.
• Provide insights on insurance claim inspections and coordinate follow‑up actions.
• Supply documentation to 3PL partners to meet agreed quality standards.
• Deliver training sessions and maintain up‑to‑date quality documentation for internal teams and external partners.
• Support the Compliance Department with sampling, trials, and food‑safety adherence.
• Track and report quality performance, highlighting non‑compliance and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations & Logistics leadership and act as backup during absences.
• Configure PPS settings and coordinate with colleagues in Zeebrugge.
• Execute SA targeting in SAP prior to vessel manifest uploads.

Required profile

• Independent team player based in Tarragona, Spain.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Proven experience with quality standards and auditing in the fruit industry or related international supply chains.
