Software Consultant - Intralogistics

About the role

KION Group, which owns Linde Material Handling since 2006, is looking for a Software Consultant in Barcelona. As a key member of the sales team, you will use your detailed product and process knowledge of intralogistics software solutions to support the whole sales cycle, from initial pitches and requirements analysis to final offers. You will act as the main technical advisor for clients and the internal sales network.

Key responsibilities

• Support the sales process with knowledge of intralogistics software (WMS, forklift guiding systems, WCS, VNA navigation, AGV control software).
• Carry out sales pitches, record requirements and show demos.
• Run workshops and build requirements analysis, concept and process design, integrating the software into the customer's system landscape, together with automation solutions or as a software-only request.
• Turn the concept into budget and final offers and present them to the customer.
• Answer technical questions on typical IT topics in intralogistics and advise and train the sales network.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, logistics or economics or comparable education.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in software consultative sales or intralogistics.
• Experience in operational logistics and/or sales in the logistics environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Experience with IT and/or software for warehouse management systems and intralogistics systems.
• Ability to analyse and improve complex processes.
• Autonomous work, strong communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel occasionally (about 5% for projects).
