About the role

Software Engineer, Agent at Sierra will design, build and ship production‑grade AI agents that power customer‑facing experiences for large enterprises and innovative startups.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑performing, reliable AI agents that drive revenue across finance, healthcare and commerce.
• Own the full Agent Development Life Cycle from pilot to deployment and continuous iteration.
• Partner with enterprise leaders and cutting‑edge startups to understand business challenges and embed AI agents at scale.
• Shape Sierra’s core platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research and product teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Builder mindset with high agency and ability to overcome obstacles.
• Comfort working directly with customers to solve real‑world problems.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
