Software Engineer – Hybrid (Barcelona)

About the role

Rover is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join its Barcelona team. You will work on customer‑facing products that improve the lives of pet owners and their pets, contributing to a fast‑growing, AI‑enabled tech company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy high‑quality, scalable solutions for web and mobile applications.
• Own features from concept through launch, collaborating with Product, Design and Data Science.
• Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing and robust database schema design.
• Participate in a highly collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and continuously improving your craft.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to deliver web and/or mobile applications.
• Quick learner who can adopt new technologies and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on user experience.
