Software Engineer (NodeJS)

About the role

Exoticca is looking for a Full‑Stack Software Engineer to design and build modern, scalable services that power its travel e‑commerce platform. You will work with Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and MongoDB to deliver reliable, high‑performance features for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build modern web interfaces with React and Next.js (SPA and SSR/SSG).
• Implement clean service interfaces and data flows following event‑driven architecture principles.
• Write high‑quality, testable code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Continuously improve system design, observability and performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building production‑grade backend applications with Node.js.
• Proven experience developing React + TypeScript front‑ends with Next.js.
• Hands‑on expertise with MongoDB data modeling and optimization.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design, clean architecture and CI/CD best practices.
• Strong focus on testing, code quality and observability.
