Solution Architect – Agentic Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect to lead the technical design of Zurich’s Actuarial Agentic Application (ZAAi), a group‑wide AI platform for actuarial and financial reporting. The role sits in the Technology Delivery Center in Barcelona and bridges actuarial expertise with cutting‑edge agentic AI technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end architecture for the agentic reporting platform, including data integration, LLM orchestration, deterministic compute and persistence layers.
• Define non‑functional requirements such as latency, token‑cost governance, reproducibility and observability, and implement evaluation frameworks for agent outputs.
• Collaborate with actuarial and finance domain experts, internal IT teams and the Reconverz vendor to translate business workflows into scalable AI solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Zurich IT governance, AI security, responsible‑AI guardrails and regulatory standards while driving expansion into Group Finance reporting.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of solution architecture experience, preferably in data‑intensive reporting systems for financial services.
• Hands‑on knowledge of actuarial or finance reporting processes within an insurance or financial‑services group.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade AI or LLM‑based applications, including agentic patterns and tool‑use.
• Ability to operate under regulated IT governance frameworks and communicate architectural trade‑offs to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cloud data platforms – Azure and Databricks.
• Anthropic Claude certification and practical experience with Claude models.
• Agentic AI concepts: MCP tool‑use, LLM orchestration, prompt‑injection defence, safe tool execution.
• Observability tools such as Langfuse and OpenTelemetry.
