Stamping and Tooling Specialist

About the role

Bosch's Aranjuez plant, which has more than 40 years of experience in automotive manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, transfer molding, compression molding and fuel filter assembly, is looking for a stamping and tooling specialist. The role covers the design, optimisation and maintenance of stamping dies and tooling, and supports new product projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design new stamping dies and tooling for technical components, and modify and optimise existing ones
• Commission tooling in production and verify that parts meet customer quality requirements
• Design gauges and inspection fixtures for production control
• Analyse failures and improve existing tooling to reduce breakdowns and rejects
• Manage spare parts inventory and stock levels according to the BOM, and define preventive and corrective maintenance for stamping dies
• Define design standards for new tooling and manage tooling projects from concept to validation, coordinating external suppliers
• Support new part projects from a stamping and tooling perspective, including cost and lead-time estimation
• Represent the Stamping and Tooling Engineering area in internal teams and with customers, and take part in international project teams
• Support toolmakers in resolving production issues and workshop maintenance, and follow up on continuous improvement proposals

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience designing and developing stamping dies and tooling for manual, transfer and progressive stamping processes
• Experience in strip layout development, including part positioning and material optimisation
• Project management experience
• Fluent English; German is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming processes (bending, cutting, deep drawing, flanging) and forming sequence design
• Knowledge of tooling manufacturing processes and materials, including heat treatments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand complex technical interdependencies
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of plastic injection molding is an advantage
