Steward – Kitchen Team

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Steward to join the kitchen team at Grand Hyatt Barcelona. In this full‑time position you will support the smooth operation of the hotel’s luxury kitchen by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils and work surfaces.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely, using appropriate chemicals and procedures.
• Handle, store and transport tableware, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
• Support kitchen and service teams by replenishing materials during service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Manage waste disposal responsibly and environmentally.
• Assist with receiving, storing and organizing deliveries according to hotel standards.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized and properly labelled.
• Perform general departmental tasks as needed to support efficient operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality or a similar role is a plus.
• Proactive, responsible attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Good physical condition to handle operational tasks.
• Basic level of English or Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Dishwashing equipment operation.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP is a plus).
