Strategic Buyer – Data Center Development

About the role

The Senior Buyer – Capex Construction is responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management of all purchasing aspects related to data‑center construction, including civil works, building, critical equipment and intellectual services. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, you will drive timely, cost‑effective procurement that aligns with project objectives and the group’s strategic and environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement procurement strategies for civil works, equipment and intellectual services, aligned with the group’s objectives.
• Lead RFx processes, negotiate framework agreements and manage contracts in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide regular financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations and ethical standards while managing supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and cross‑functional teams across Europe to optimise outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Procurement, Engineering or Project Management.
• Proven experience in procurement for construction projects, delivering cost and CAPEX savings.
• Familiarity with OFCI (Owner‑Furnished, Contractor‑Installed) approach is a plus.
• Experience managing international tenders and negotiating complex contracts.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC or equivalent contractual frameworks.
• High ethical standards, resilience under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English and French.
