Stress Engineer – Military Derivatives

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe as a Stress Engineer for a new military program focused on European sovereignty. You will work within the Stress Department (Military Derivatives / Air Power) on structural stress analysis of metallic, composite and hybrid components.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate metallic, composite or hybrid structures from a stress perspective.
• Write, review and check stress dossiers, technical reports, test programmes and test reports.
• Define justification approaches and monitor progress with Technical Authorities and Senior Engineers.
• Support manufacturing by assessing structural non‑conformities.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers, internal Airbus teams, external subcontractors and civil/military authorities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in stress analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in English and French (both spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.
• Eligibility for security clearance by recognized authorities.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods and tools.
• Experience with stress analysis of metallic, composite and hybrid structures.
• Ability to write and check stress dossiers and develop test programmes.
