Structural Design Engineering Internship – Airbus Derivatives

About the role

Join Airbus for an 11‑month full‑time internship in the Airframe Structural Design department of the Airbus Defense Derivatives programmes. You will work on real aircraft projects, supporting the design of metallic and composite structures while completing a Master’s programme in partnership with Camilo José Cela University.

Key responsibilities

• Support detailed design of metallic and composite structural parts, assemblies and aircraft components using the latest CAD/CAM tools.
• Assist in planning, design, quotation and configuration management of aerostructures.
• Apply innovative solutions and automation to internal processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Stress, Systems, Analysis, Manufacturing, Materials & Processes, Aerodynamics and Loads.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering degree.
• Strong interest in the aerospace sector and structural design of aircraft parts.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
• Analytical, problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
