Study Start Up Lead

About the role

Rho is looking for a Study Start Up Lead to manage the end‑to‑end start‑up process for clinical studies across multiple European locations. This remote position offers the chance to work with a dynamic CRO that values curiosity, collaboration and innovative thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Manage study start‑up activities through site activation, coordinating with Project Managers and Clinical Trial Leads.
• Participate in sponsor meetings, set operational targets and mitigate delivery risks.
• Maintain systems to track start‑up progress metrics at project, country and site levels.
• Oversee submissions and obtain approvals from IRBs/ECs, including CTIS Part 2 packages.
• Coordinate feasibility, site identification and essential document (SED) collection.
• Develop and execute start‑up strategies for regional IRB/EC approvals.
• Partner with Clinical Team Leads to define Site Initiation Visit (SIV) requirements and site activation plans.
• Support business development activities such as proposal preparation and bid defense.

Required profile

• Proven experience in clinical study start‑up and site activation.
• Strong knowledge of IRB/EC processes and regulatory submissions (including CTIS).
• Ability to work closely with functional leads, sponsors and site staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple sites and timelines.
• Experience coordinating feasibility and essential document packages.
