Supervisor - Special Devices

About the role

As a Supervisor for Special Devices you will lead highly specialised lifting and transport operations across Europe and beyond. You will coordinate teams that work with advanced equipment, ensuring every project is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation, mobilisation, execution and demobilisation of special lifting and transport equipment.
• Lead on‑site operational teams during complex and critical lifts.
• Ensure all activities follow engineering plans, safety standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate logistics for equipment, components and site set‑up.
• Coach and mentor operators and junior supervisors in the field.
• Act as the main operational contact for clients and project stakeholders on site.
• Monitor equipment condition, oversee inspections and maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, execution quality and efficiency.
• Undertake international assignments across Europe and potentially worldwide.

Required profile

• Proven experience in heavy lifting, specialised transport or complex crane operations.
• Previous supervisory or lead‑operator role in a project‑based environment.
• Strong technical understanding of hydraulics, mechanics and lifting systems (electrical knowledge is a plus).
• Experience with special devices such as crawler cranes, engineered lifting systems or SPMTs.
• Strong safety leadership mindset and ability to enforce standards under pressure.
• Ability to lead multicultural teams in dynamic, international settings.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and a valid passport with willingness to travel extensively.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on mentality with the ability to participate in operations when needed.
