Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will serve as the main liaison with suppliers for operational activities and contract management, acting as the supplier’s ambassador to internal functions. This role ensures that supply chain and quality aspects of contracts meet on‑time, on‑quality (and on‑cost when applicable) performance while upholding Airbus ethical and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as focal point towards suppliers for operational activities and contract management, serving as ambassador of the supplier to internal functions.
• Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, ensuring on‑time, on‑quality (and on‑cost when applicable) performance.
• Oversee non‑conformity containment (L1) to protect customers and manage secondary flows.
• Identify, create, and coordinate quality inspection plans with SCQM and stakeholders.
• Provide consolidated forecasts to suppliers and verify that they have the required capacity.
• Assess supplier capacity, capability and performance, contributing to supplier development and risk mitigation.
• Develop short‑term recovery and containment actions with suppliers and propose mitigation for industrial risks.
• Collaborate with SCQM on root‑cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement.
• Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, setting long‑term development targets with the Supplier Development Team.
• Present supplier operational performance (KPIs such as OTD) in MFT meetings and Vendor Review Boards, and ensure ethical compliance with the Airbus Code of Conduct.
