Supply Chain Quality Manager

About the role

Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defence & Space) is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager to join the Supply Chain Quality Management team within Procurement and Supply Chain in Tres Cantos, Madrid area. The role covers the Space businesses of Launchers, Science & Exploration, Navigation & Telecommunications and Batteries Assembly Line, and also takes a part-time procurement role for direct and indirect materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance and control supplier activities, coordinating with Multi-Functional Teams and acting as a trusted operational interface with suppliers
• Ensure quality deliveries by managing milestones, product life-cycle reviews and deliverables, and protect production by correcting, improving and following up supplier quality performance
• Manage supplier quality approvals and authorisations, ensuring compliance with required certifications
• Monitor supplier performance, identify and mitigate risks, and lead recovery and improvement actions, including corrective action plans to reduce deviations and concessions
• Define product, supplier, site, qualification, inspection and surveillance plans, and run product quality issue resolution, FAI, transfer of work and other audits and assessments
• Lead the Vendor Review Board, take part in Supplier Evaluation Development, and contribute to commodity strategy, supplier selection and supplier development
• In development phases, support the Product Assurance team and monitor new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial production
• Part-time procurement: establish procurement activities, manage tenders, contract negotiation and monitoring, and coordinate supplier data and KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• At least 2 years of experience in supplier quality management
• Knowledge of electronic components, mechanical parts and electronics manufacturing
• Experience dealing with customers and/or suppliers, able to interface with suppliers' higher management
• Spanish and English at negotiation level; French is valuable
