Supply Chain & Quality Manager (SCQM)

About the role

A Supply Chain and Quality Manager (SCQM) position has opened within Airbus Defence & Space, joining the Supply Chain and Quality department of the Composite and Metallic Detail Parts team in the Procurement Organization. The SCQM leads end-to-end supply chain operations and quality management and acts as the industrial, operations and quality lead for all suppliers in scope, covering programmes such as A400M, MRTT, L&M, EFA, Aerostructures and new developments like Eurodrone.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Airbus Defence and Space before suppliers and ensure their industrial maturity and quality and operational performance.
• Lead the deployment of Airbus DS quality and supply chain requirements in suppliers and for the main ADS programmes.
• Represent the procurement organisation in multi-functional teams and before authorities during audits and assessments.
• Take part in tender calls, new product introduction, transfer of work, industrial changes, modifications and assessments, and APQP deployment in suppliers.
• Manage risk and opportunities, quality escapes and non-conformities, and lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action plans.
• Oversee qualification surveillance, first article inspection, supplier performance and surveillance, and deployment of procurement tools in suppliers.

Required profile

• Degree level education (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain quality and/or supply chain.
• Negotiation-level communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Rigorous, autonomous, customer-oriented mindset, able to prioritise workload.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including multi-functional teamwork, flexibility and proactivity.
