System General Internship – #Discover II 2026/2027

About the role
Join Airbus for an 11‑month full‑time internship as part of the #Discover II 2026/2027 program. Starting in early October 2026, you will combine a master‑level training block with hands‑on work in a specialised aerospace area located in Getafe, Spain.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Electromagnetics Hazards (EMH) team by sizing the Metallic Bonding Network (MBN) for lightning and fault‑current protection.
- Apply multiphysics modelling to calculate electrical loads and thermal dissipation in carbon‑fibre structures.
- Participate in laboratory tests to validate and improve simulation models.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Safety & Reliability, Software Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, and Manufacturing Engineering on related projects.
Required profile
- Recent graduate (BSc/MSc) in engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
- Interest in the aeronautical sector and willingness to develop professional skills.
- Basic understanding of aircraft structural components and electrical systems.
Required skills
- Multiphysics modelling (electrical and thermal analysis).
- Electrical circuit analysis.
- Thermal analysis of composite materials.
- Knowledge of aircraft structural components.
