Tax Manager – VAT & International Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our Legal team within Finance. The role supports global tax operations, coordinates with local and international advisors, and contributes to M&A and restructuring projects while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and file Spanish VAT returns, SII reporting, and other indirect taxes such as transfer taxes, stamp duty, excise duties, and local taxes.
• Oversee VAT and indirect tax compliance for EU and non‑EU subsidiaries, coordinating with local tax advisors and finance teams.
• Provide VAT advice to Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain and Sales, analysing complex cross‑border transactions.
• Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks, support tax audits and inspections, and strengthen internal tax controls.
• Drive process optimisation, tax technology, and automation projects to improve data quality in ERP systems.
• Monitor regulatory developments in VAT and indirect tax at local and international levels and ensure timely implementation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Spanish and EU VAT regulations.
• Solid experience in taxation, preferably from a tax law firm or Big 4 tax department.
• Proven ability to advise on VAT treatment, withholdings and multinational tax structures.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of managing multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
