Tax Specialist

About the role
ENGIE is seeking a Tax Specialist to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance for its Spanish entities. Working under the Head of Tax/Tax Manager, you will prepare tax returns, respond to authority inquiries, and support internal teams on tax matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage payment and filing of all applicable taxes at state, regional and local levels (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, excise duties, property tax, etc.).
- Prepare and submit tax returns to the relevant Tax Authorities.
- Handle requests and notifications from Tax Authorities, including registration procedures.
- Support tax audits and provide documentation for transfer pricing and inter‑company transactions.
- Monitor tax legislation updates and propose system improvements for tax data extraction.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in tax compliance within a company, law firm or consultancy.
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
- Upper‑intermediate English (B2) proficiency.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Basic user knowledge of SAP.
