Team Lead DevOps – Remote (Spain)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead DevOps to drive the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud and on‑premise infrastructure. The role is fully remote within Spain and reports to senior engineering leadership, supporting a fast‑growing iGaming platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day leadership of the DevOps/System Engineering team, ensuring predictable delivery and operational stability.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate team workload with architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security of cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Oversee infrastructure changes implemented via Terraform, Kubernetes, and automation tools, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Guide and review CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure designs, and operational practices without micromanaging implementation.
• Act as the first escalation point for delivery, operational, and environment‑related issues.
• Support incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑incident improvements.
• Mentor team members, support onboarding, and develop less‑senior engineers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering, primarily in AWS environments.
• 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing DevOps or Platform teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures, Kubernetes ecosystems, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional initiatives and manage sprint planning, task tracking, and delivery follow‑up.
• Excellent communication skills, especially for explaining risks and trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
• At least B2 level English.
