Team Lead, Engineering – Customer Sandbox

About the role

Deel is looking for a Team Lead, Engineering to head the Production Sandboxes team. You will balance hands‑on development with people leadership, guiding a cross‑functional group of 6‑10 engineers to deliver high‑impact, production‑grade solutions for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a full‑stack engineering team, allocating 50% of your time to technical work and 50% to mentorship and people management.
• Design, build, and maintain the orchestration UI, automation engines, and data‑synchronization pipelines that power isolated production environments.
• Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices, code quality standards, and scalable architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering squads to ensure seamless delivery of features.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, SaaS environment.
• Strong ability to balance strategic vision with day‑to‑day technical execution.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of mentoring engineers.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development experience.
• Experience building orchestration interfaces, automation workflows, and data pipelines.
