Test Engineer – Automotive Validation

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to join its automotive development projects. You will work in demanding technical environments, collaborating with a major client to plan, execute, and validate vehicle tests.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute tests across all project phases, including advanced and dynamic testing.
• Define and monitor testing plans for parts, components, and complete systems.
• Manage test vehicles end‑to‑end (preparation, transport, cost control, special manufacturing processes).
• Coordinate winter, summer, wind‑tunnel, and rain‑tunnel tests.
• Control parts status, quality, and vehicle condition (e.g., Intemperie, SoLiSi, Klapper).
• Execute tests according to Load Logbooks and experimentation requirements.
• Prepare, review, and control release checklists and technical validation documents.
• Draft release recommendations and conduct root‑cause analysis with corrective‑action follow‑up.
• Manage national and international suppliers, prototype benchmarking, and CAD support for geometry generation.
• Participate in project and gate meetings, ensuring milestone achievement.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in automotive validation/testing, experiment project management, and workshop/vehicle environments.
• Advanced English (minimum B2) and a valid Category B driving licence.
• Nice‑to‑have: German proficiency, CAD knowledge, OEM experience, N2 driving training, and experience driving under adverse conditions.
