Test Technician

About the role

Airbus Crisa is hiring a Test Technician for its Production Tests Team in the Madrid area. Working under the supervision of the Production Tests Team Leader, the Test Technician updates test procedures and carries out and reports board and equipment-level tests. The team is part of a culture of diversity and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Update test procedures for each board/equipment verification test, covering objectives, configuration and setups, step-by-step instrumentation and success criteria, based on the Test Plan prepared by a Technical Manager.
• Prepare jigs and tooling fixtures needed for test execution, working with test senior technicians and engineers on first models until knowledge transfer is complete.
• Handle products carefully under tight schedules and customer pressure; double shifts, full campaigns or weekends may be required temporarily.
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) during board tests.
• Submit a test report after each unit verification, describing key results, parameter comparisons with requirements and the extent to which objectives were met.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of testing and reporting in hardware, at component boards, in space, aircraft or military fields.
• Degree in vocational training.
• Proficiency in English.
• Disciplined and methodical, able to negotiate with diverse teams, manage stress, persuade, communicate effectively and make decisions.

Required skills

• Handling of instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters and generators.
