Therapeutic Area Manager – Hematology

About the role

The Therapeutic Area Manager is responsible for defining and leading the medical strategic and operational activities for one or more therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the therapeutic area strategy aligned with overall company objectives
• Provide strategic direction and alignment to their Medical Affairs team within the therapeutic area
• Act as the subject matter expert for the assigned therapeutic area internally and externally
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Market Access teams
• Lead product lifecycle management, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare stakeholders
• Ensure compliance excellence and ethical standards
• Drive cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives
• Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
• Team management (Medical Advisory/s – MSL/s) ensuring they work in alignment with the company's objectives while promoting their professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or similar). PhD or clinical specialization is a plus.
• 5–8+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Medical Affairs, with prior experience in the specific therapeutic area and project/team leadership.
