UX/UI Designer

About the role

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to shape high‑leverage product experiences for Meetup, a community‑building platform owned by Bending Spoons. You will work on end‑to‑end design, from early concepts to polished delivery, while leveraging AI tools to accelerate the design process.

Key responsibilities

• Design exceptional UI and UX, ensuring every experience is intuitive, effective, and delightful.
• Use an LLM to clarify intent, draft short specifications, and surface risks before opening design tools.
• Prototype and build with AI assistants such as Cursor and Claude Code, turning rough concepts into interactive prototypes and production‑ready frontend code.
• Co‑create with product managers and engineers from day one, defining UX requirements early and staying involved through QA and release.
• Validate designs directly with customers, run quick tests, and use funnel, retention, and adoption metrics to assess effectiveness.

Required profile

• Talented, driven, and collaborative individual comfortable in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment.
• Ability to move fluidly between design tools and code, making engineering‑aware design decisions.
• Strong communication skills for aligning quickly with cross‑functional teams.
