Waiter/Waitress – Food & Beverage Service

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive waiter/waitress to join our Food & Beverage team at a leading hotel in Barcelona. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality service to guests, ensuring their dining experience is smooth and enjoyable.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests promptly and courteously.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer menu‑related questions and communicate guest preferences to the kitchen.
• Record orders and transactions using the MICROS POS system.
• Check guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and service stations.
• Complete closing duties such as restocking, turning off lights, and presenting accurate checks for payment.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service.
• Ability to work full‑time shifts and handle the physical demands of standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lb unaided.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
