Workshop Technician 2

About the role

We are seeking a practical and safety‑focused Workshop Technician 2 to support the daily operations of our Underwater Services workshop and warehouse in Valencia, Spain. Reporting to the Workshop & Asset Manager, you will ensure tools, machinery and equipment are maintained, documented and ready for service deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs on workshop tools, machinery and operational equipment.
• Prepare, test, load and unload equipment for service operations and mobilisations, and verify returned items before storage.
• Assist with basic maintenance and preparation of diving and service equipment under supervision of qualified personnel.
• Receive, identify, label, store and issue tools, materials, spare parts and consumables, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Enter and update SAP records for maintenance, equipment movement and stock counts.
• Monitor condition, inspection dates and certification status of workshop machinery, tools and lifting accessories, reporting or quarantining defective items.
• Support purchasing, supplier coordination, deliveries and workshop logistics.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop, warehouse and waste‑storage areas in line with QHSE procedures.

Required profile

• Vocational technical qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial, marine or general maintenance.
• Hands‑on experience with workshop tools, machinery and maintenance activities.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow QHSE procedures.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several priorities.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and recognise when specialist repairs are needed.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills; fluency in Spanish required, English considered an advantage.
