DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer – GCP

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role involves designing, automating, and maintaining scalable services while ensuring high availability and performance for our growing platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run and GKE.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or CircleCI) to automate testing, building and deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and New Relic, and respond to incidents.
• Administer and optimise MongoDB clusters, handling backups, recovery and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Ansible and develop custom scripts in Python or Bash.
• Collaborate with development, QA and IT teams to support the software development lifecycle and resolve infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven expertise with Docker, Kubernetes and GCP services.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, New Relic and MongoDB.
