Fleet Transition Engineer

About the role

Volotea is looking for a Fleet Transition Engineer to manage the entry and exit of aircraft from its fleet. You will ensure each aircraft is delivered, modified, or returned in full compliance with safety, regulatory and lease requirements, supporting the airline’s growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate aircraft deliveries, redeliveries and phase‑outs to guarantee smooth, on‑time transitions.
• Act as the technical point of contact with lessors during audits, acceptance and rejection procedures.
• Work with MROs and service providers to schedule and verify repairs, modifications and reconfigurations.
• Provide technical support for lease agreements, acquisitions and sales of aircraft.
• Monitor maintenance tasks, modifications and reconfigurations to meet required standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Legal and Operations teams on transition activities.
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with EASA/AESA regulations and lease terms.
• Prepare technical reports, identify discrepancies and assist in risk assessments.

Required profile

• Experience in aircraft delivery, lease management or related aviation technical roles.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (EASA/AESA) and aircraft maintenance processes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
