HR Manager – Logistics Site

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function at our logistics site in Lelystad, The Netherlands. The role will shape the site’s HR strategy, drive people management excellence, and directly influence key business metrics such as productivity, absenteeism, turnover, engagement and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the on‑site HR team.
• Act as HR Business Partner for the Operations team.
• Collaborate with Workforce Planning to ensure effective staffing and peak‑period workforce readiness.
• Design and implement initiatives to reduce employee turnover and absenteeism.
• Improve employee engagement, productivity and overall experience.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence, working closely with managers and operational teams.
• Lead internal communications to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
• Optimise the organisation and effectiveness of the HR function.
• Develop operational managers’ people‑management capabilities.
• Drive HR transformation and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Manage agency workforce in partnership with Workforce Planning.
• Ensure rigorous execution of HR policies and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner in logistics, industrial or highly operational environments.
• Track record of managing large workforces and agency staff, with measurable improvements in turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
• Experience in organisational transformation and change management is highly desirable.
• Fluent English; Spanish and/or Dutch are a strong plus.
• Strong business orientation, ability to influence in operational settings and build trusted relationships.
• Autonomous, execution‑oriented, resilient with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Lelystad.
