Senior Vice President Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role

The Senior Vice President (SVP) Finance will lead financial strategy, performance management, planning, reporting, controls, and commercial finance for a diversified group operating in insurance, investments, asset management and related financial services. Reporting to the Group CFO, the SVP will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board and business‑unit leaders, driving profitability, capital efficiency and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute group‑wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts, analysis and executive reporting.
• Drive FP&A and commercial finance to translate data into strategic decisions.
• Monitor revenue, margins, cash flow, capital returns and solvency across the portfolio.
• Provide financial leadership for insurance operations, including premium income, claims, reserves and underwriting performance.
• Supervise investment and asset‑management finance, covering portfolio reporting, valuation and performance analysis.
• Support capital planning, liquidity management, treasury operations and balance‑sheet optimisation.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls, risk‑management frameworks and regulatory reporting.
• Lead M&A financial due diligence, modelling, valuation and strategic analysis.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and drive finance transformation, automation and ERP initiatives.
• Develop senior finance talent and maintain relationships with auditors, regulators and investors.

Required profile

• Senior executive with extensive experience in finance leadership within insurance, investment or asset‑management businesses.
• Proven track record of driving financial discipline, profitability and capital efficiency in a regulated environment.
• Strong partnership skills with C‑suite, Board and business‑unit leaders.
• Experience in treasury, capital planning, solvency management and M&A finance.
