Asset Allocation Strategist – Junior VP

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an Asset Allocation Strategist at the Junior Vice President level to join its European Equity Research team in Boadilla del Monte, Spain. Reporting to the Head of Asset Allocation, the role will help shape cross‑asset investment strategies for institutional and retail clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the formulation of cross‑asset allocation views across equities, fixed income, FX, commodities and alternatives.
• Conduct macro‑economic and market analysis to identify trends, risks and relative‑value opportunities.
• Produce high‑quality research reports, market commentary and thematic publications for clients.
• Own asset allocation frameworks, model portfolios and analytical tools.
• Engage with institutional and retail clients through presentations, calls and roadshows to communicate investment ideas.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Trading teams to translate research into actionable strategies and client solutions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical capabilities and a commercial mindset.

• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
• Proactive and responsible approach to risk management.
• Relevant academic background in finance, economics or a related field.
