GTB & Structured Finance Middle Office Analyst

About the role

Join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking as an Analyst III in the SCIB Secondary Trading Middle Office. Based in the Madrid hub, you will support leveraged finance secondary loan trading, ensuring smooth operational flow from trade capture to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Control and monitor the operational lifecycle of buy‑sell loan trades and TRS‑related flows.
• Manage trade recaps, kick‑off emails, borrower/facility codes, KYC dependencies and risk approvals.
• Escalate blockers such as short positions, missing information or upstream dependencies.
• Interact with Trading Desk, Sales, Risk, KYC, Tax, Legal, Back Office, Fund Managers, Agent Banks and counterparties.
• Monitor economic events that impact TRS positions and maintain portfolio status.
• Embed generative AI and advanced digital tools into daily workflows to improve execution quality.
